The Anglican High School Past Pupils Association held a successful Career Fair November 30 - December 02, 2011.

A wide range of careers were discussed with the Form 5 graduates for 2012 each day.  The sessions started at 9 am and ran until 1:30pm. The Form 5's were divided into three groups, with each group exposed to three to four professions in each session.
All sessions were conducted by past students of the AHS.

Wednesday: Hospitality Industry, Religion, Counselling, Social Work; Media & Journalism
Thursday:     Health, Education and Business
Friday:          Public Service, Law Enforcement, Law, Sports, Agriculture Business, Horticulture and Modelling.

The students were all very enthusiastic, and receptive, and showed lots of interest by asking numerous questions.
Some showed particular interest in Law, Nursing, journalism as well as aspects of the Hospitality industry. They expressed their appreciation and recommended that this should be an annual event, starting with the Form 3's.

All presenters were very professional and presented well.

Mention must be made of the two male past pupils Mr. Arthur Neckles and Mr. Adrain Banfield who spoke on insurance and religion respectively. Many girls never knew that moons ago boys attended the AHS.

Special thanks to Mrs. Gloria Payne-Banfield and Mrs.Tessa Stroude who organised this very meaningful & successful Career Fair.
To the past pupils who gave their time for the presentations; we are grateful and thankful for  their contributions.

School Quote

‘every student is expected to take her academic studies seriously at all times;’ and  ‘every student should regard herself as a citizen of the Anglican High School Community, who live together, pooling and sharing their qualities of mind and character with a view to utilizing and developing the resources of their common habitation for the good of all.’
